Hands-On Learning for Horse Owners
Our horse owner clinics are designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to better care for your horse’s feet. Whether you’re a new horse owner or have years of experience, this clinic provides practical training you can use immediately.
You’ll learn:
Safe handling and horsemanship around the farrier
Hoof anatomy and how to spot common problems early
How to pull a sprung shoe and prepare your horse for the farrier
Rasping techniques and supervised practice
How a properly fit shoe should look and feel
2-Day Clinic (Sat & Sun) – $250
Foundation in safe handling, hoof care, and hands-on practice with tools and techniques.
3-Day Clinic (Fri–Sun) – $300
Full program with extended learning, live demonstrations, supervised rasp practice, and in-depth instruction across all three days. Option to bring your own horse.
Horse Add-On (Optional) – $50
Bring your own horse for evaluation and practice during the clinic. Limited slots available.
Want to learn but not ready to get hands-on? The Audit Option is perfect for horse owners, parents, or students who simply want to watch, take notes, and ask questions. You’ll be part of all classroom teaching and demonstrations without participating in tool use or horse handling.
